South County Odyssey of the Mind problem-solving team is the Virginia State champ and moving on to the World Finals at Michigan State University May 22 - May 25th 2019. Competitors include teams from Argentina, Australia, Belarus, Canada, Singapore, Slovakia, South Korea, United Kingdom, Uzbekistan, and practically every state in the U.S.

South County High School had two teams competing in the 2019 Odyssey of the Mind creative problem solving competition. These Stallions represented South County very well by both placing in the regional competition and moving forward to States. At the Virginia State competition on April 6th, 2019, one team took 1st place and will be moving on to World Finals to be held at Michigan State University on May 22-25 2019

Team #1: Sara Saylor, Kenny Olivo, Aland Kurdee, Natalie Sippie and Aaron Saha and coached by Carla Olivo. *2nd Place at Regionals and State qualifier.

Team #2: Sally O'Connor, Siena Martin, Harrison Ponczak, Addie Cameron, Valmik Rai, Katya Martino, and Maryanna Valencia and coached by Suhana Rai. 1st Place at Regionals, 1st Place at Va. State and World Finalist.
